Located on 50 acres of fields and woods Sandheide Farm is continually striving to provide the amenities of a big equestrian facility while still maintaining the private and relaxed atmosphere its clients enjoy.
The new barn completed in the spring of 2006 includes 8 stalls with rubber mats and individual mesh-protected windows to insure proper ventilation. The roof makes use of plexi-glass along it's length to ensure lots of natural light.
To be completed in 2008 is the heated tack room and indoor wash stall with hot and cold water and solarium.
The older barn includes 4 large box stalls, tack room and office, it will be used for foaling during the spring months.
The indoor arena, also completed in the spring of 2006, measures 144'x 66' with an excellent sand based footing. It is well lit during the day with plexi-glass inserts making use of natural daylight and has ample lighting fixtures for evening rides.
The indoor arena is available for rent to groups and individuals, please contact us for details.
The outdoor riding ring measures 144'x 86' and is on well drained, natural sand footing with an additive to ensure all weather footing and no more winter clumps! Lit for night riding it allows plenty of space for dressage, jumping and multiple riders.
The pastures are fenced with high-visibility electrical ribbon and chain link fence, most have loafing sheds and all have immediate access to well-drawn water. We maintain our grazing through pasture rotation and seeding of the soil if necessary.
Hacking trails encircle the property and cut through the woods and fields on the farm and adjoining properties. Some include x-country jumps, a feature which we plan to expand.
